Thunderbird server settings special characters in username.
We are using Thunderbird with Sogo groupware. There is around ten users but we would need to add additional user which have latin letter š in the user name. User name and password are rejected, all other users work. If we log in Sogo web mail it works and we can see the mailbox. After entering user name in Thunderbirds server settings letter š gets translated in letter a. I'm asuming encoding problems but I don't know how to set it. It doesnt matter if I trie with local or english version of Thunderbird. Any guide or help will be appreciated.

Unfortunately Thunderbird doesn't support RFC 6532 yet.

Thank you for your answer. We use Dovecot which gets usernames from Samba AD (LDAP), username is not the same as email, so there is no special characters in email address. Is it possible to edit settings files in user profile manually to enter correct username? Would this work?
The above specification is about e-mail headers, which username is a part of.
Thank you I see now. I decided to change username, one solution would be also to make Dovecot checking against another field in AD which wouldn't use any special characters.
