Firefox crash after Update veesion 58.0
I am using on-line Outlook (Microsoft Hotmail). After I updated to this version when I open my e-mails hyperlinks are are like a normal text. I refreshed Firefox. After this when I opened e-mail hyperlinks become clickable but after I open-close about 4-5 emails hyperlinks become non-clickable again. Moreover I can scroll mouse but when I press "Key-Down" at the keyboard I am automatically out of email and in the main screen (inbox) somewhere no on the place where when I was but a top message like 50th or 60th. Only solution to close hotmail tab an open it again or "Refresh" in Troubleshoot menu. I have experience problem not only with hotmail. I use "Ctrl"+"F" for search. After this update found words don't pop-up to the top of screen. I have never experinced this problem before this update

Hi UriF, sorry to hear about these problems.
Links in Outlook
A couple of other users also reported these intermittent problem with links in Outlook emails, but I haven't see an explanation / solution yet.
If you right-click the link does Firefox show the link context menu? You'll recognize the additional items such as Open Link in New Tab. If it does, do those commands work?
Scrolling with Down Arrow
Moreover I can scroll mouse but when I press "Key-Down" at the keyboard I am automatically out of email and in the main screen (inbox) somewhere no on the place where when I was but a top message like 50th or 60th. Only solution to close hotmail tab an open it again or "Refresh" in Troubleshoot menu.
The action of the up and down arrow keys varies if the cursor is in the page. Do you see a vertical bar (the cursor) moving in text when you use the arrows? The F7 key can be used to turn this "caret browsing" feature on and off (off is the normal setting).
Otherwise, I don't know why the down arrow wouldn't scroll just a few lines.
When this problem occurs, does it help to reload the page bypassing the cache? Either:
- Hold down the Shift key when clicking the reload button on the toolbar
- Ctrl+Shift+r
Find
I use "Ctrl"+"F" for search. After this update found words don't pop-up to the top of screen. I have never experinced this problem before this update
Found words may appear at the middle or the bottom. I don't remember them appearing at the top before. I wonder whether an add-on might have been changing the positioning?
I use uBlock origin only as add-ons. Refresh MS Outlook does not help. Only close this tab and open a new tab or just close Firefox and re-launch again.
When you re-launch or refresh Firefox"Ctrl"+"F" works as expected. This strange behavior appeared after Outlook tab crashed
Did you disable uBlock to see what happens?
No difference if uBlock on/off. After this effect appeared when I start to scroll mouse I am out of this email right away.
For example I get a list of jobs from Monster, Zip Recruiters. Therefore I have scroll and click at hyperlinks. Hyperlinks doesn't change cursor image bu it some areas of screen hyperlinks are clickable. It is something not understandable.
I think the reason I couldn't replicate this problem before is that I use the Reading pane on the right side. This problem only seems to occur if you hide the reading pane, so when you click a message it display "in front of" the Inbox.
In that case, the links in some areas of the message stop behaving normally. As you mentioned, the "mouse cursor" doesn't have the "pointer" appearance and when you click the message disappears and the Inbox (or other folder) reappears.
Since I only have a few messages in the Inbox, I was able to determine that this problem occurs when the link is in front of text in the Inbox, such as the Sender name or Subject line. I can't explain why that happens.
Here are two partial screenshots showing how it affected a sample message.
When I switch to the "beta" Outlook design, I can't replicate this problem.
Two thoughts:
(1) If you have a wide display, you could try using the Reading pane on the right. However, if your display is not wide enough, there will be an inconvenient amount of scrolling.
(2) You could try sliding the "Try the beta" switch that appears above the Inbox and see whether that works better for you.
You are right. I tried Outlook beta and I could not replicate this problem. I suggest that I will use other browser until you will fix this bug or please give me a chance to rollback to previous stable version
I'm going to file a formal bug report. Meanwhile, for the non-beta layout:
Another Workaround
If you are viewing a message where this problem appears, one way to fix the links to allow text selection in the problem areas is to change the zoom level, which you can immediately change back. For example:
Windows:
- Ctrl + to enlarge, Ctrl - to reduce
- Ctrl + scroll the mouse wheel
Mac: Most likely hold Command instead of Ctrl.
It seems to stay fixed if you are moving though your messages using the up and down arrow icons on the bar above the message. If you close out and go back to the Inbox, the problem eventually returns.
