Hi, You say Boxes. Do you mean Folders ? You are right clicking these to remove them is that correct ?
Do you see items in the Bookmarks Manager (Library)?
Did you ever create these bookmarks?
If "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page cannot repair places.sqlite then remove all places.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder. Firefox will rebuild places.sqlite and restore the bookmarks from a recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
- keep a backup copy of places.sqlite in case a new places.sqlite database has to be created

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
- Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Hi
Thanks for the reply.
My comments were meant to relate to an uploaded screen dump I made to show the entries in the Tool Bar. I am not sure if the picture was uploaded since the 'circle of doom' just kept rotating'.
When I go to - Preferences, Privacy & Security, Saved Logins - they are not there.
Kindest regards

Hi,
If you go to the 3-bar menu on the right of the toolbar, then select "Library" -> "Bookmarks", down the bottom is "Show All Bookmarks".
This will open the library window.
If you then select "Bookmarks Toolbar", you should see the bookmarks listed there. Click on the bookmarks and see if you can then right-click and select delete.
If that doesn't work, then if you could go back to the 3-bar menu, select "Web Developer", followed by "Browser Console" (not the web console). That will also open up another window.
Keep that open, and go to the library window, try switching folders, and then re-selecting the broken bookmarks and see if any errors appear.
If you do get errors, please could you copy and paste them here.
