"Find in Page" function happens w/o my intention.
When my cursor is not focused on a text box, when I click any letter on my keyboard, it immediately brings up the 'find in page' function. How do we stop this?
Ex. if I were to type 'v' or 'q', the 'find in page' function pops up at the bottom and begins to look for all v's or q's on the page. This sometimes happens when I am in a text box too (I think it depends on the website?) and often interrupts my typing. It is inconvenient and would greatly appreciate if someone could help me remedy this problem.
Thank you.

Could you try the following setting on the Options page:
- Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
- Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
- Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
- Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it
In the search box at the top of the page, type typing and Firefox should filter to the "Browsing" section.
If there is a checkmark next to "Search for text when you start typing" go ahead and uncheck that. If there isn't a checkmark, click it twice (i.e., turn it on and then off again).
Any improvement?

There are other things that need attention. The System Details list shows that you have an outdated Flash plugin, current is 31.0.0.153 (31.0 r0).
- Shockwave Flash 28.0 r0
You can find the installation path of a plugin on the about:plugins page.
You can download the latest NPAPI Flash plugin for Firefox on this page.
Make sure to remove checkmarks for including unwanted additional software.
That fix was just what I needed. @jscher2000 Additionally, thank you for informing me I needed to update my flash. @cor-el
