Hi, I have my Rogers email routing into Thunderbird. Recently, it has been giving the error message that it is full and needs to be compacted. As per the suggestions on other forum posts, I have compacted, repaired the folder, moved some to other folders, deleted many, logged onto the web version and deleted, checked the spam folders, in addition to restarting my computer. It still pops up that message (see attached photo). Any suggestions for fixing quickly? Thanks in advance!

If the folder is severely corrupted, the repair or compacting may not help. I suggest you rebuild it according to these instructions:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Compacting_folders#Real_fix

This involves copying messages to another folder, then deleting the mbox and msf files for the folder, and allowing TB to create a new, empty folder upon restart. If the account is IMAP, the folder will re-download messages from the IMAP server.

To open the profile folder, Help/Troubleshooting Information, click Open Folder. Look for the mbox and msf files in the Mail (POP accounts) or ImapMail (IMAP accounts) subfolders. Close TB before deleting any files.
