The Message Pane between the emails and the one I am reading is very wide.

I use Classic view in Thunderbird. My incoming emails are on top. The email I am reading is on the bottom. Between is the Message Pane. I don't want to get rid of it, I just want to make it narrower as it seems to take up a lot of space. Is that possible?

I think you're referring to the Header Pane, which shows From, Subject and To, and is between the Threads Pane (top) and the Message Pane (bottom). If the Header Pane is too wide, check that you have View/Headers set to Normal. Press Alt if the View menu is hidden.

My Header setting was set for Normal but the Compact Header add on did the trick. Thank you so very much. janice
