I still haven't received help and the problem is still there
Spellchecking acts on the signature here (see picture). I would suggest you try it in safe mode, but that would disable any dictionary that is installed as an extension instead of built in. What extensions do you have? If you select the signature, then click the Spelling button, does it work?
