I had to format ( factory reset) my laptop. After installing mozilla, and sync my account is like new. All previous data i.e. Login, password, bookmarks, etc all are missing and i tried about:profiles method which is also not working. What should i do to recover my old data?

Did you have other devices connected to Sync? If not, then the answer is no, as Sync is not a backup solution (at least not yet), it only synchronises the data between your devices.

You didn't possibly reset the password of the Sync account as that will wipe all data on the Sync server ?
