I've looked at other questions/answers about this issue. I've emptied cache, history, but no change. Haven't tried in safe mode becuz I've just not got the patience to work through this problem.

Sometimes the vids work fine, sometimes eventually they load, sometimes not at all. And now Adobe Flash is finished...is some sort of replacement needed? My secondary browser is Vivaldi, and the vids open fine there.

FF 84.0.2, Mac 10.15.7

Did you try Firefox Safe Mode ?

Does it work better if you use a direct connection and not a VPN if you currently use such a service ?

no VPN. Will try safe mode later; it's the one step I haven't had the energy to take. thx.
