Just got the following error while trying to send email through the Earthlink server: An error occurred while sending mail: The mail server sent an incorrect greeting: 5.7.1 Connection refused - OXSUS003_101 - https://postmaster-oxsus.vadesecure.com/#OXSUS003_101.

Server: smtpauth.earthlink.net Port: 587 Connection Security: STARTTLS Authentication Method: Normal password User name: my email address

Any thoughts gang?

I clicked the link you posted and was informed as follows;

OXSUS0001_101 550 5.7.1 Connection refused We could not accept your email because your email provider is listed on the Vade Secure Threat Network list. This list contains IP addresses which have been identified as sending spam. We use this list to protect our subscribers from receiving spam.

So I guess it is time to ask your mail provider (earthlink) why the IP address they allocated to you is blocked for sending spam

Hi Mark, Hope you have it sorted by now, but here's my experience.

I just had the same problem and after spending time with my service provider still could not get the problem sorted. Then I tried switching off my VPN and whallah!!!

Easy solution. Cheers. Swanie.
