There is a strange name and address in my list of autofill addresses. I have never heard of this person or this address, let alone used it. Is this a person trying to steal my identity or use my credit card? What should I do?

Hey there!

Sometimes FF trys to find your location so they can autofill it for you. Go to Systems Preferences --> Security and Privacy --> Location Services and uncheck the box next to FF to disable location tracking for FF.

If you still feel very suspicious, the best option is to reset your firefox account password and the password for the suspicious website.

Hope I helped!

Kind regards,

Bithiah

No, I have never been to this location -- not even close. And I have never even been to this particular state in about 15 years, and never when I had this laptop. It is not any website that is suspicious. It is the fact that this person's name and address appears in my Firefox autofill list.

If you suspect your login data is compromised, change your password and also check your site profile data is correct.

You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed free to use malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
