I created a Firefox Sync account earlier today, everything was working fine until sync said it had disconnected and needed to verify my account.

I had the code sent to authorize the sign-in until I realized I no longer had access to any of my passwords that Firefox had generated and saved for me. I can however sign-in to my account on accounts.firefox.com
