Hi Team,

The emails were taking up a lot of space and I selected the compact now option on thunderbird. I want to retrieve my emails from the compacted folder as there are some important emails there. Can you please let me know how to access the same.

Compacting just removes unused space in a folder, but this does not change the messages themselves. I compact all my folders regularly with no problems.

david is correct.

I would add, if you are not seeing messages, then it is more likely that compacting is also a symptom of the same thing that is causing the messages issue. In other words there may be some other root cause.

Compact is being rewritten for version 128, coming out this summer. If you see a problem with that version then please post a new support topic.
