Firefox version 100 was working fine, but after I upgrade to the version 100.+ it only displayed a blank page no matter what website I visited. I downloaded the 101 Beta it worked perfectly. However, when I installed the official release V101 yesterday and it stopped working again. I reinstalled the Beta version 101 and 102, both worked perfectly. Why only the beta version is working, but not the official release version?

Could be a profile issue as the Beta version likely uses its own profile.

Try to start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to see if that works.

  • Windows: hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox
  • Mac: hold down the Options key while starting Firefox

You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
