Writing a new email in Thunderbird, I accidentally pressed Ctrl W and the entire message window disappeared. There's nothing saved in Drafts or Trash. Can I retrieve the message?

You didn't mention the OS. Using Windows, it prompts to save as draft or cancel. Assuming you use windows, my assumption is that it's either in draft or gone.

Hi David, thanks for your help. Windows is indeed the OS. I didn't see a prompt prior to deletion, but the keyboard mash may have dealt with that too.

By way of a suggestion, maybe these things could go into Trash..? It would have saved me a lot of typing if it had.
