we have 2 account sign-in, my browser opens in maximized full screen, however my wife's browser opens in minimized tab on upper left window and she has to press the maximized icon to get to full screen. Could you please advise how I can correct this nuisance.

One shouldn't use the same Browser to login as that can lead to login issues. If this is Windows 10 or so it should allow different accounts users to use Firefox for each Windows account.

If your wife if using the feature that restores her previous session windows and tabs (first checkbox on the Settings page), Firefox should use the same sizes. If she is starting up with the home page, hmm, maybe that is harder to control.

One thing that might help a bit is: before using the maximize button, manually stretch out the window by dragging the lower right corner. If Firefox is going to start up in a resizable window, hopefully it will remember this new size the next time.
