A number of ppl ask how to set up öut of office"reply. I have the opposite problem. I set it up when I was using IE. But I cannot see how to stop it from going out. Do I have to go back and make IE my default browser to solve this? (I am using outlook web exchange for email)

No, all you need to do is to open IE and go to your Outlook Web Exchange preferences and change your setting for out of office responses. Firefox being the default browser doesn't stop you from using IE.
