Not saving username or password
Firefox does not offer to save username and passwords. No drop-down box appears. I have to manually type in username/passwords. I've followed the advice from your website and others without success.

Every time Firefox opened

The fix at: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forum/1/723378#threadId723379 doesn't work. My OS is XP not Win 7.
It used to work fine, but has stopped for no apparent reason.

File names mentioned are cannot be seen or found in order make changes as suggested. Have looked and done a search.
