On a borrowed iMac running OSX 10.2, in Safari/Yahoo, I select Comcast.net to read my email. Yahoo encourages me to upgrade to Firefox 3.6; after downloading it 3 separate times I have been unable to run the .dmg file because they are all corrupted. What to do? I have managed to get the icon into my applications file and into the Dock, but it won't run. What to do?

Firefox 3.6 requires at least OS X 10.4

The last version of Firefox that ran on OS X 10.2 was Firefox 2.0.0.20 available from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/2.0.0.20/mac/en-US/

TonyE - Many thanks for the prompt analysis - after working on the same '05 iMac for 6 years (it just had its final crash) I'm finding adjustments have to be made to get things to run on this '01 Mac. I suspect similar mismatches will continue to keep me from running videos from youtube and other sources.
