Thanks, TonyE. I couldn't find it firefox/all-older.html, despite quite a lot of searching: google searches either pointed to firefox 4, or non-English versions. Anyway, 3.6.16 works fine, and I'll try the third-party version later. Best wishes!

Somebody at Mozilla needs one huge bitch-slap from all of us for rolling out the Mac Firebird 4 update without telling the thousands of users who are still on OSX 3.5.8 that this version would not work. Now I have to roll back to 3x, which involves trying to find a copy somewhere, which is conveniently hide at Mozilla.

This is just out and out evilness. If you know where 3x is, please post it here,

But there are three points here:

(a) I, and others, downloaded firefox 4 expecting it to work, and it did not: PITA

(b) This deleted firefox 3.6, so I had to reinstall, and could only find an Italian version: PITA

(c) I could not find an English version of firefox 3.6, despite quite a lot of googling: major PITA.
