Hi,

When using a search engine such as google and selecting a web site, when I use the back arrow to go back to my search results the web page reverts back to the top of the list of found sites not where I had gotten down to.

A minor pain but can it be set to revert to the original page position?

Thanks,

Arnak

Why not open each Search result in a new tab and close each tab when you are done with it, instead of going forward and back within the same tab? The original Search page won't need to reload every time you go back.

I think this is a byproduct of the way Google "instant search" works. If you disable instant search (Gear menu > Search settings), then the page retains its position when you go back. Maybe there is a way to resolve the issue without disabling instant search, but nothing springs immediately to mind.

You can make that change via the same Gear icon on the Google Search Settings page:

Results Window: [X] Open search results in a new browser window.
