Firefox on MayLong Tablet
I have a MayLong Tablet. I don't know what the CPU is but they show it as being: 800 MHz + 300 MHz DSP. It is running Android 2.2.
I downloaded Firefox 5 from your FTP site with my PC and moved the file to my Tablet. Then I installed it but at the end I got a message that said "not installed". There were no error codes or anything else. I tried downloading it again and installing it again but I get the same result.
I can't download anything from the Android Marketplace as it says I don't have an Android phone registered there.

The mobile version of Firefox is dependent upon the processor being used, and requires one that supports the ARMv7 architecture.
Though I have not been able to find a definitive answer on the Maylong site, a Google search indicates the tablet has a VIA WM8650 processor. That processor supports the ARMv5 architecture so will not be able to run the mobile version of Firefox.

Actually, this is interesting. I had assumed (like so many other Android devices) that the program was looking for a (cellular) antenna prior to installing. I've tried to install this on my Viewsonic gTablet (ARM Cortex-A9 CPU) for ages now (this morning included) and after going to the Android Marketplace it asks me to "Choose device on which to install" and the selection window remains blank, which basically doesn't give me the option to download/install the software. According to the Firefox website, my device is supported (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/mobile/platforms/), but this still doesn't work. Has anyone found a way to get by this? Or will I just keep on using either the standard, Opera, or Dolphin browsers, which seem to work flawlessly.
Firefox should work on the Viewsonic gTablet, but since this device does not have official Android Market support, you will need to use the FTP link on this page to install Firefox on the gTablet:
