Windows XP. RunForefox 4. Try yo upgrade to Firefox 5. Download file OK. On Install, click on NEXT, messge to close Firfox, BUT IT'S ALREADY CLOSED!!!!!!! The only thing running is the Installation which continues to give the "Turn off Firefox" message. This is a Moebius Loop, going in circles, going nowhere fast. I would like a response asap, as I am out of patience, having spent an hour trying to download and get this far on your help line. Sincerely, Justin H. Rich.

Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to open Task manager. In processes tab, make sure no 'firefox.exe' processes are listed - if there are, end them. Then try to run the installer one more time.

If that doesn't help, reboot, try running the installer.

Pressing the keys was a non-event, re-booted and now have Firefox 5. Thank you for your advice, much appreciated. Cheers, JustinR.
