Up until today, I've never had any problems with Firefox and Flash Player.

However, all of a sudden, Flash won't work for me, today.

I've already uninstalled Firefox, uninstalled Flash Player, re-installed Firefox (Windows 7) and re-installed Flash Player 10.3. I already checked to ensure the Flash Plug-in is enabled and updated.

Anyone have any idea what is going on here?

edit: since the original posting, I also ran a malware scan (found no infections) and also cleared the cache. No change in my situation; still same original problem.

It seems the problem was related to the "NoScript" extension. For whatever reason, without my knowledge, "NoScript" started blocking all Adobe Flash. I only discovered that by chance, when I went to: Add-ons >> Extensions >> NoScript Options >> Embeddings, and found the "forbid Adobe Flash" box checked.

I toggled that box to off, and everything started working fine again. I've been using Firefox, NoScript, and Flash all for a while, through several version updates of these products, and never had this problem before. I don't know why it happened, but it sure was annoying.

Anyways, fixed now. I hope my experience helps someone else get a faster solution to the same problem.

I would do that ... but I just figured the problem out on my own, as described above.
