Why can I NOT open firefox on my user site? I can open it on my grandson's site and it is on the same computer.

I am unable to sign on to the internet using firefox because it would not open visually. I say visually because when I tried to download a supposedly newer version of firefox (using Internet Explorer) in the hope it will fix the problem, it would not allow the download unless I close firefox first. This means it was open but I do not see it. I tested this by switching to another use site and I was able to open and see firefox.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
