The Back and Forward One Page buttons still appear but they no longer allow me the option to use them. Please advise.
The Back and Forward One Page buttons in the tool bar still appear but when I move from site to site the buttons no longer highlight so I no longer have the option to navigate to previous sites.

Starting in Firefox 4 the drop down was removed and you would use the context menu (right-click) since you are using an older version even within Firefox 3 that would not apply to you.
Starting in Firefox 7.0.1 Back/Forward Home don't work due to network.http.max-connections being upped to 256, reduce back down to 32.
