I'll be on a site and it will suddenly redirect to another site. This can happen at any time, sometimes as soon as a window opens, sometimes the window can be open for considerable time before it happens or it may not happen at all. It does not have any relationship to what site I am on (The same site might redirect immediately one time and not for an hour the next). I can always use the back browser button to get back to the original website. About 75% of the time this happens I end up on a Facebook login page and when I go back I see the original redirect went to some Facebook game/dating/or some such site, none of which I have ever used. I do have Facebook but I do nothing on it except go my wall to see pics and posts of my family (5 'friends'). I have never even posted a comment. The other 20% of the time it goes to various sites like surveys, support your vet.org, or ones with just random numbers and letters. In regards to the "This happened" question that follows I often have 3 to 5 windows open at a time and this will happen 20 or 30 times within a 4 hour window. I have tried both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome since this started and this has not affected either of them. I even tried running each simultaneously with Firefox and they held steady while the Firefox pages were being hijacked.

Hi mha007, I ran Firefox for 2 days in 'safe' mode with no redirects, then 2 more days running normal with no redirects so the problem seems to be solved. I had run RogueKiller so I assume it must have eliminated whatever maleware was causing the issue. Thank you for your assistance.

Thank you for your assistance mha007.

After all of the above was done Firefox ran for several hours before a redirect happened and it has only happened twice in two days but unfortunately it is still happening.
