Can't listen to online radio after upgrading to Firefox 12
Hi Everyone,
Ever since I upgraded to Firefox 12, I can't listen to radio station: http://www.sirasa.com/sirasafm.html I am behind a firewall and go via a proxy but this was never a problem. What firefox used to do was prompt me with the network password dialog and once i fill in the information it use to stream the radio station, however I'm not getting this anymore. I also checked and verified that I have Windows Media plugging installed
Also, I can listen to this station via Internet Explorer no problem.
Really appreciate any help.
Thanks,

That is a stream (audio/mpeg) that is played with the Windows Media Player plugin (np-mswmp).
Try to disable the classic WMP plugin (Npdsplay dll) that you also still have enabled.

I can listen to radio from the link you provided, without the need of providing any Passwords..
- Try using the "No Proxy" setting in your Firefox settings as described in this article -> Connection settings
- Make sure that you are using the "Remember History" setting as described in this article -> Settings for privacy, browsing history and do-not-track
Perform the suggestions mentioned in the following articles:
Check and tell if its working.

Hi mha007,
Thank you for your quick reply. I followed and did 'Remember History', cleared cookies and cache and network cache. Checked updates. None of that seems to fix the problem.
I have no option but to go via the proxy, 'cause once I set 'No Proxy' it want let me access the web at all. The strange thing is that with previous Firefox version I used to get a popup dialog asking for Network password access, now I'm not getting it and can't listen to the radio. And with Internet Explorer I can.....
Revert your network settings to whatever they were so you can connect Firefox to internet.
-> Start Firefox in -> Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if your add-ons/extensions are causing the problems.
- Also see this article -> Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems
Check and tell if its working while using Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.
It seems, even in the safe mode I get the same issue
Your Firefox Plugins are out-dated, so Update them by going to the following link:
- When Downloading Plugins setup files, Remove Checkmark from Downloading other Optional Softwares with your Plugins (e.g. Toolbars, McAfee, etc.)
Check and tell if its working.

Thank you both: mha007 and cor-el. Disabling Npdsplay fixed it !!!!!!
