Win7 cmptr-How can I change highlighted items (like bookmarks) from hard to see light blue outlines to white text on dark blue background like my XP computer?

The selected bookmark appears with a difficult to see light blue outline, instead of white text on a dark blue background, like on my old machine. How do I change this?

Is this in the Bookmarks Sidebar (Ctrl+b to open/close)?

You can create a style rule in Firefox to change the colors in that area. In this thread, I gave an example that changes the background color of the bookmarks sidebar so the highlight is more visible, as shown in the attachment.

Using Foxfire 5 in Win 7 I lost the highlighting of current BM in use (as compared to Win XA FF 5)

For a bright white on brilliant blue appearance, try this revised rule:

@namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul); #bookmarks-view-children { background-color: #00f !important; color: #fff !important; }

Actually, did you mean on menus as you mouse up and down over items?
