All of my settings and add ons are gone

I got on my computer this morning and noticed that my background had changed and that my computer had updated. When I logged on to Firefox, ALL of my settings were set back to default. All of my information was just, gone. No bookmarks, none of my add ons, all of my toolbar settings reset. VERY frustrating. So much information lost. The first thing I did was make sure I was signed in under my profile, and yes I am. Still gone. I don't know what to do. Just thinking about setting all of that back up makes me want to cry. Or switch to another browser all together. Please help.

Are you sure that you are still using your previous profile folder?

It is possible that the profiles.ini file got removed and that Firefox has created a new default profile.

That is probably exactly what happened when whatever reset my computer's settings happened. I will try to figure it out. :) Thank you for your help.
