When I try to copy a URL into an email while in FF it isn't "live", i.e., you can't go to the site by clcking on it. Works fine in IE9.

Up until the other day, whenever I copy a URL into an email, it is clickable so that the recipient can go to the web site. suddenly this no longer works. I use Outlook 2007 to send and receive email from my various accounts. As I said, this has never been a problem before. I saw a similar complaint from a year ago that referred to a chain or link, but I don't see that in FF or in my Outlook menu.

Hey mitrajoon.

This sounds like a problem with Outlook, not Firefox. Just to be sure, can you please clarify how you copy a URL into an email? Do you use the "Send link..." menu item, or do you just use copy/paste?

What I found was that there there are two places in Outllook that need to be checked. Under edit Options>Proofing>Autocorrect There are two autoformat tabs, both have a place to check if you want hyper links to work and both must be checked. Now if I could just figure out how one of them became unchecked....

Glad you were able to fix your issue, mitrajoon. Also glad this was not related to a problem with Firefox. :-)
