Hi,

I have IMAP setup to move messages from my Yahoo Inbox/folders to Thunderbird. Everything from the inbox appears to come down to TB fine. Even offline, I can read all the emails and open the attachments.

I'm trying now to copy the emails in my TB inbox to my TB local folders and nothing happens. It used to work but recently has stopped. I might be able to move one or two, get a message about not being connected to the server (ie Yahoo) and I disregard that and no luck. I don't see why that should matter since I am making a copy of the inbox to an offline TB local folder.

I went so far as to uninstall TB, reinstall and download all of my Yahoo mail again and still the same problem. I've read everything I can online and nothing works.

Would I be better off just using POP mail?

Thanks.

Thunderbird re-downloads each mail prior to moving or at least checks if it is a current version (I am not sure which) but no connection means no work.

Try windows safe mode and see if it works better.

If safe mode for the operating system fixes the issue, there's other software in your computer that's causing problems. Possibilities include but not limited to: AV scanning, virus/malware, background downloads such as program updates
