sync e-mail verification functionality broken on create new account
sync e-mail verification functionality broken on create new account on windows xp pro sp3 all updates been installed very old machine. firefox is at lastest version 30.0. I am trying to create a sync account to migrate my firefox profile (bookmarks, quick links, etc.) to my new windows 8.1 pro machine all updates installed. firefox on windows 8.1 is at 30.0.
I also tried to verify from in sync tab in options. I am not sure which finally sent me an e-mail but says that verification link is damaged, i opened link in new tab to copy here: https://accounts.firefox.com/verify_email?uid=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx&code=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx&service=sync
any help greatly appreciated to get verified and my ultimate goal to get everything migated to my windows 8.1 pro machine.

Email verification was not sending any e-mail for some time, out of several - the last couple verification e-mail was successful. Now i do not understand how get sync to work i have same account logged in both machines but not sure if syncing is actually doing anything and nothing has appeared on windows 8.1 pro machine

Hi cor-el and thank you for hide my information didn't realize was public forum.
I am not sure exactly what happen, but when i logged into sync i left it default what to sync. After a long time maybe 30 minutes and sync circle arrows never budge i re-boot both machines and launched Firefox both machines and verify sync was logged in. Waited some time still nothing. Just saw your email. About:sync-log was a weird message (sorry not remember) but i get feeling not started yet was sitting on win8 machine. Tried about sync progress and brought up embedded image that was successful.
I went to xp machine 2 things happened not sure which order but think as follows: 1. Tried about:sync-progress 2. Dialog pop up for sync to ask what i wanted synced.. I already specify that durning initial setup as i initially created sync account here.
Now syncing is working and bookmarks starting to appear on win8 machine. There is a ton of data maybe some 10 yrs of bookmarks. I know for sure more than 6 or 7.
I'll keep ticket open just incase quick tab things don't appear of have problem with some of the syncing. Will verify everything tomorrow sometime and post a new update.
I have a history of design networks and software quality assurance / build engineer / and some api development. This experience was pretty bumpy but im used to being in the loop too with a lot more detail :)

Manually launching about:sync-progress, fixed the issue of since not starting.
