The work around no longer works in 33.0 of disabling libpkix. I have to use IE for some websites, because the company uses a proxy server that Firefox now has problems with. I have contacted the proxy server administrator, but have not been able to get that fixed so that Firefox will work.

This should be fixed in version 33 via bug 1045973 but not entirely sure this is the issue yet.

Could it be an old certificate? Does it happen in Safe Mode or in a private window? Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode

I tried safe mode and that did not help. This seems to be a certificate problem. I tried exporting the server certificate and then deleting the server certificate and that did not help. Same error message still appearing.

I checked the server certificate - it is active from 2010 through 2015, so that is not an issue.
