I guess my first attempt at post failed, but i cannot open firefox, it crashes even after an update download, i am on windows 7 home premium. crash reporter is always a prompt but only allows me to exit that prompt box and continually crashes.
please help...thanks!

Oh my goodness, after simply removing the freecorder application, Firefox works fine, thank you so much for the suggestion and quick response...much appreciated!

Hi okeah1
Could you please start a new thread for your question?
Then you can provide more information like your operating system and installed extensions and installed plugins.
In case of crashes also please add some recent crash IDs that start with a "bp-" prefix. If a line on the about:crashes page doesn't start with "bp-" then click the line to submit the report and the link will be updated and gets a "bp-" prefix if the report is submitted successfully. Please do not add the "bp-" prefix yourself.
You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and hardware acceleration in Firefox and try this:
- make sure you have the latest Flash version:
http://www.adobe.com/special/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html - check for updates for your graphics drive drivers
https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration - disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Windows Vista and later)
https://support.mozilla.org/kb/adobe-flash-protected-mode-firefox - disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html - disable hardware acceleration in Firefox
