I installed Firefox on my windows 10 computer. For two days it was fine. Now the bookmarks sidebar won't open but a checkmark appears next to the toolbars in view option. Also I can't get into the firefox setup on the top of the screen (the 3 dashes).

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
