I have a slow Net connection, so some pages can take more than 5 minutes to be displayed, but when I try to save a copy of that page it takes ANOTHER 5 minutes plus to save that page ! Surely there must be some way of saving the page which is already being displayed on my computer without having to download the whole page again ??

And why insist that initially I must get all of my question inside a limited amount of letters, then move me to this page which allows lots more letters ?!

And with regard to entry to this support page - my email address with capital letters in it has been valid for over 15 years, so why refuse me access and say that my email address is not valid?! What kid does your programming  ;-)  ?!

Hi BillBal, Thank you for your feedback about the forum, I will forward that to the team. However please also free to make suggestions in the bugzilla support.mozilla.org component.

In the meantime, for the issue with saving the webpage, there might be an alternative. First you might be able to change Firefox's default cache size:

  1. Go to the about:preferences page or the preferences from the hamburger menu
  2. Click on "Advanced"
  3. Under "Network" check to make sure you can edit the [ x ] Override automatic cache management

Other tips are to use multiple tabs, always open the page in a new tab. This way you can have them open ready to go on demand and save you disk space.

Third, you might be able to use rss readers, email clients and block reader software to save those type of pages locally, once.

I hope this helps.

Thanks guigs, but cache was already set to unlimited. I'll have a look and see what an rss reader or a block reader does.

What about using Ublock to block adverts, that might increase speed of page download.
