why won't it accept my master password
Everytime I try to open firefox, the master password for FIPS 140 box comes up and it does not accept my password and it will not open my home page. This just started today

Did you enable FIPS?
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Certificates: Security Devices (Enable FIPS)

If you did then the only way to recover from this is to delete the key3.db and logins.json files in the Firefox profile folder and you lose all passwords stored in the Password Manager.
You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
