Hello I've tried importing (from a Firefox bookmark.html file) using the bookmark manager of Firefox (45.0.1) in a second user account in Windows 8.1. But for some reason it does import all bookmarks some are missing. I've tried deleting all bookmarks in Firefox (the one that I'm trying to import into) before importing but still there are several which are missing upon the completion of the importing of the bookmarks. Would there be a way to import the bookmarks using some third party utility and just drag and drop into the Firefox library bookmark manager ?

Thanks

Hello FredMcD. I'm sorry I don't understand the question about how are the importing the bookmarks stored ? The bookmarks have been stored by the Firefox manager in a HTML format. Quite a number of are missing many of the custom created folders are missing and the bookmarks which were contained within them. Hope the above helps.

It might be the original was damaged. Can you try to create another?

Places Maintenance {web link} Allows to run Maintenance tasks on the database that drives Places, the bookmarks and history module behind Firefox.

Open the Add-ons Manager. Locate the add-on and press the Options button. Then follow the directions.
