Using Windows XP and Session Restore. and McAfee alerted me to an intruder at IP 10.224.0.1. Contacted Comcast and an Xfinity security technician directed me to refresh Firefox. Upon restarting the computer, Session Manager and backup sessions were gone. from Tools drop down menu. I need help putting old SessionStore files into my new Firefox Profile.

I have tried copying old SessionStore into new Profile, but it is yet inaccessible from Tools menu. Are there other files from the old profile that I need to copy to the new Profile.

The solution provided by Co-rel states that, by default, Firefox adds Session Manager to the drop down menu. Session Manager is not in the Tools drop down menu.

I would like to restore sessions that were on my computer prior to refreshing Firefox; "old profile" is available. How do I incorporate the old Session Manager folder into my new profile so that I may access previous browsing session?

The docs say that Session Manager stores its data in .session files in the sessions folder. Session Manager encrypts its data the same way the Password Manager does. This means that you would also need the key3.db file and the logins.json file from the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop.

Exporting Session Files - To back up session files simply open the sessions folder using the Session Manager menu item and then copy the .session files to a safe location. To restore simple copy the files back into the sessions folder. Note, that if the session files have been encrypted, they can only be restored to profiles that contain the same exact key3.db file

Backing up and restoring settings - Session Manager can back up and restore its settings. This can be done in the general options window.

Session Manager is not found on any menu, nor is there any info on backing up or restoring setting in the general options windows. There is no session folder.

Did you reinstall Session Manager?

Do you see the sessions folder in the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop?
