Starting a few days ago, when I log into Chase, I get a blank page with the following showing in the URL:

https://chaseonline.chase.com/Secure/OSL.aspx?newstoken=false&LOB=RBGLogon&Referer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.chase.com%2F&resId=success&

I can log on to chase using internet explorer and my android phone, so the problem is with Mozilla. How can I fix this issue???

Thanks!

Hello,

Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click Help Help-29 and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
  • On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode
(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme, or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps in the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.

To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.

I saw a report about the Chase site on Reddit the other day:

https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/52qvrv/firefox_not_working_on_certain_websites_since_the/

I had suggested there that perhaps the user had turned on the feature that stops redirects and requires you to give permission. That wasn't the problem, but turning on that feature did allow the redirect to proceed after giving permission. It's the opposite of the usual problem.

I suspect there was a change in the site that is causing Firefox not to load the new address, but it's difficult to investigate sites that require a login. If you use reload -- Ctrl+r or the circular arrow -- does that trigger the page to load as expected?

FOR NOW I BELIEVE I FIXED MY PROBLEM. HERE IT IS:

2. Clear your cookies and cache Many problems with loading web pages can be resolved by clearing Firefox's cookies and cache: 1. Click the menu button , choose History and select Clear Recent History.... 2. In the Time Range to clear: drop-down, select Everything. 3. Click the arrow next to Details to display the list of items that can be cleared. 4. Select both Cookies and Cache. 5. Click Clear Now.
