How do I get FireFox to show "ALL" my recent visited sites from last to first on the address bar &/or also on the history tab dropdown menu?

When I click to drop down my history on the address bar I get sites that I visited months and years ago, nothing recent. Also, when I click on the history tab and it drops down I only see a a portion of the sites/pages I just visited, not "all" of them, with a mix of old sites from months/years ago. I want "all" my recent history to show on the address bar and history tab without having to click on "Show All History" on the History tab. just like browsers used to do back in the 90's.

Thank you for your time.

The drop-down list shows items stored by visit count (frecency) and if you have visited websites in the past a lot of time then it can take some time to get recent visits to bubble to the top.

You can also check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.
