Unsorted bookmarks don't appear in library
My unsorted bookmarks used to appear in the library window in a folder called Unsorted Bookmarks but now there is no folder by that name. They only appear in the toolbar, not the library. There is nothing in the "Other Bookmarks" folder. I'd like to be able to organize them in mass in the library window. Working in 48.02 and old Mac OS10.6.8. Not really sure whether this happened in an upgrade. Thanks!

You don't need to use Other/Unsorted at all - I don't, but it's a matter of choice. Some of mine are in the Bookmarks Toolbar, but most are in Bookmarks Menu, and 'Other' is empty.
When you click on the star, the bookmark, by default, will go into Other Bookmarks (prior to v48 known as Unsorted Bookmarks); however if you wish it to go to a different destination, keep your mouse pointer over the dialog box to prevent it from disappearing, then use the upper, downward pointing arrow on the far right, to select a destination > Done.
If there are any in Other Bookmarks, you can cut and paste or drag them to Bookmarks Menu if you wish.

Hi, Unsorted Bookmarks as they were known prior to v48, is now renamed as Other Bookmarks!
The following may also be of help - Bookmarks in Firefox.
If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!

Thanks, Scribe, but all of my unsorted bookmarks are outside of the "Other Bookmarks" folder when viewed in the sidebar, and the "Other Bookmarks" folder appears empty in the Library window. Does that mean I need to add them to the "Other Bookmarks" folder one by one? Thanks -

Hi Scribe, thanks for your continued efforts to solve my problems! The thing I miss about the "Unsorted Bookmarks" is that when you opened the library window, the bookmarks appeared and you could edit in bulk instead of one by one. I get the blue star, and the control click, but I just wish I could select a bunch and drag them all at once into a folder. Now when I open the Library window, they don't appear at all. Oh well. Thanks for your help, but I don't think this problem will be solved with this version!
Ok, after clicking around I realized what I was doing wrong! In the library window, when I select the "Bookmarks Menu" folder, all the unsorted bookmarks are visible!! Sorry and thanks for your help!
