Middle mouse click won't open link in a new tab, instead it does nothing. No extension is installed.

I checked several settings in about:config. browser.tabs.opentabfor.middleclick=true middlemouse.contentLoadURL=false middlemouse.openNewWindow=true middlemouse.paste=false middlemouse.scrollbarPosition=false

Changing these, nothing happens.

I also would like to use autoscrolling after middleclick.

I use Mozilla Firefox 55.0.2 on Ubuntu 17.04

Szia!

Az első felére elsőre nem tudok mit mondani, kellene működnie alapból. Minden oldalon fennáll a probléma?

Az automatikus görgetés problémára viszont van megoldást. A Beallítások → Speciális lapon, az Általános fülön kell bekapcsolni az Automatikus görgetés jelölőmezőt.

The mouse middle click on link to open new tab actually DOES work - if you hold the middle button for 3+ seconds. Sometimes this works only on the second attempt. You should see link address appear in window at bottom-left of the screen. Why the delay?????? Needs to be fixed.

If your middle click button is a wheel, Firefox may also be getting a confusing scroll command if the wheel moves.

Also, if you installed a manufacture's driver like Logitech SetPoint, the middle click button option needs to be set.

Make sure Firefox about:config is set to: browser.tabs.opentabfor.middleclick;true To check, type about:config in link box, answer yes and search for middleclick. RIght click on this option and select Toggle if necessary.

PS: The new Firefox Quantum has the same problem.
