1 - Is there any way to set the default screen settings?

Almost all of my use of ff is in dark locations... i.e. reading before sleep. The new color schema is extremely hard on the eyes with the expanses of white and reversing black of the pulldown bar. i.e., Leave default ui features alone.

2 - Please consider a "Close Current Tab" option that does not require digging down to accomplish this. The tiny "tabs" icon is difficult for small screens and fat fingers, but it would be helpful if that option were at the top of the tabs page or tabs menu... better yet, below the "New Tab" under the "3dot" menu.

3 - Please make it clear to users how to stop the reams of unwanted tiles on the default startup page. I finally found out how to remove them, but it was not obvious, nor easy.

Thanks in advance, Beverly Howard

A theme such as https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/just-black/ should darken much of the ui.

Thanks... that helps, but it doesn't address the android pulldown shade bar which ff modifies and has no apparent way to change back to the android default

Appreciated, Beverly Howard
