Restore Previous Session is not restoring all of the previous tabs
I just tried restoring my previous session but it is only bringing back my most recent tabs. I tried using the recovery files from the sessinstore-backups folder but they yield the same results. I found other posts mentioning https://www.jeffersonscher.com/res/scrounger.html so I tried that. This shows me many more links than what are being restored through Firefox. Is there any way to fix the files so my session restores properly? There are multiple restore session links within my previous restore session file and I'd like to get them back. I have also seen various suggestions to rename the .jsonlz4 files to.json and then open them with Firefox, Scratchpad etc. but I get the error: SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data
I am currently running version 60.0.2 (64-bit)

You may have corrupt sessionstore [v56] sessionstore.jsonlz4 file(s). Delete all sessionstore* files and the sessionstore-backups folder.
Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.
Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.
Linux: Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Directory. To its right press the button Open Directory.
Locate the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.
Don't delete the files if you need to rescue any data from
them, just move them out of the profile folder to some
location where Firefox doesn't look for them. You can
try to read out their contents using this tool:

You can't rename a compressed .jsonlz4 file to .json. You need to use the scrounger utility to decompress the .jsonlz4 file or only inspect the file.
You can look at this utility to browse System Restore points to see if you can locate a previous version of a sessionstore file.

Hi wagar2, are the missing tabs in the "Closed Tabs" or "Closed Windows" section of the list?
To open those, try either:
- "Library" toolbar button > History > Recently Closed Windows (and within each restored window, Recently Closed Tabs)
- (menu bar) History > Recently Closed Windows (and within each restored window, Recently Closed Tabs)
