Are you viewing the bookmarks list in a new tab (tap the address bar, and swipe left or right if needed to show Bookmarks)?

If you "long press" a bookmark on that list, Firefox should display a context menu with Remove or Delete as one of the options. On Firefox 60, the menu is very long. In order to see all the items, scroll the bookmark you want to remove to the top of the list first before long-pressing.
