For financial web sites, I want to provde my password every time I access them, but it would be nice if Firefox could fill in just the UserID for me. Can I configure it to do that, or edit the Login list to remove just passwords?

On most signin pages, Firefox will remember the login. You have to make sure that Firefox is set to remember your search and form history in the Privacy & Security tab of the Firefox preferences.

More information is available in the Control whether Firefox automatically fills in forms support documentation.

No, Firefox won't save the username without also saving the password. That has been requested by a number of users over the years, but the Logins Manager just isn't made to do that.

As far as deleting the password alone after saving the username / password combination, I don't see a way of deleting only the password. I have tried in the recent past and the 'combo' got deleted.
