I refuse to give you access to my cell phone as i do not use the internet on my phone never have.
I have used firefox frequently on my old computer and I was never asked about my cell phone. Often web pages ask for my cell number to send me a text to sign on to a web site but that isn't using any web service on my phone. That i have never done. I don't even have anything installed to use the web service on my phone. Now you are demanding i install firefox on my phone. I will not allow it.

I'm sorry if you felt we were demanding. We offer Firefox for smartphones running iOS and Android, and you possibly saw a message offering to text you a link to install Firefox on your smartphone. If you don't feel comfortable, that's totally fine. You can continue to use Firefox on any device you want without sharing your phone number.
However, do keep in mind, if you install Firefox on your smart phone, you can synchronize Firefox on your phone and your desktop to keep passwords, history, open tabs, etc. all synchronized. This of course is all private and secure, and not required.
