Currently when I click inside the Location Bar the entire string is selected/highlighted.

I don't want that, I want the old behavior where the first click positions the pointer at the place inside the string text where I clicked.

I have added these options (found in another Q):

browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll false browser.urlbar.doubleClickSelectsAll true

But they don't seem to work.

I'm using Firefox 76.0.1 on Linux, and the option to combine Search and Location bar.

The two clickSelectsAll prefs are no longer supported in Firefox 75 and newer and you will have to get used to the new behavior.
